Where's the Mini Stop?

In a city where nobody actually even TRIES to go out at night, I don’t wonder that there aren’t any 24 hour convenience stores, gasoline stations, and I haven’t even seen any 24 hour towing services either. So my cousin’s kids actually found it awfully funny when I asked if I could find any 7-11 store in our area. They thought I was kidding, but maybe I was just spaced out when I asked that question. I find myself silly having asked that. But I was craving for a hotdog from 7-11 or even the treats from Mini Stop. Ugh. One of many things I miss from Manila.

I also found it so hard to live in a place where there’s no convenience store. Not all cities in other countries had such – you either have to walk in the dark to find an open one, or just sleep hungry.
