What I love about holidays is that stores really go all out with their stocks at sale prices. We normally don’t go shopping before Christmas or New Year because of the Holiday rush. We also try to avoid shopping a couple of days after the holidays because for sure there would be a lot of people buying stuff because of their money gifts.
I’ve learned that window shopping online is a great idea during these days. I get to see most of the new collections and if I wait long enough, I know most of these stores have clearance sales because of either surplus or because they’re changing their collections.
I particularly wait for a boys designer clothes sale for my nephew. His 2 other siblings have tons of clothes because of their cousin’s hand-me-downs, but my nephew isn’t as lucky. Since the only other boy is a year or so younger than him (from his father’s side), he doesn’t have any hand-me-downs available.
So sometimes, when I have some spare from my meager earnings, I buy him a pair or two. It’s amazing how his eyes twinkle at the sight of new clothes. I thank all the stores around us for a lot of sale opportunities. Post-Christmas shopping is definitely more enjoyable with bargains and discounts.
