Mommy Moments – Chore Time

mommy moments

My daughter is just 2 and a half years old, but we have already begun “training” her to do household chores. My mom simply won’t want her to be like me who grew up so pampered that up until now that I already have a family of my own, there are still some things at home that I don’t know how to do. (I had a nanny until I was in high school. So there.) This is why my mom wants Sabyn to learn to be independent and be able to do things around the house. We’re not expecting her to do the laundry or iron clothes, but simple things likes cleaning up after playing is good enough for me.

Here’s Sabyn about to keep her toy (kind of blurry though, sorry!):

I don’t think this is considered being a “chore” per se, but she’s helping out, so I thought it’s cute to add here as well. She’s being a nice big sister and helping feed baby Sanjo:

‘Till next week Mommies!

That's great! I think that it is so important the kids understand how much work it is to run a household. My kiddos have "chores", I think that it is completely appropriate.

Training your kids early is really a good thing.. You can never go wrong with it. When they grow up you'll be happy to see them that you have raised such responsible and wonderful kids.
I as well has been assigning my kids simple chores at home. And it makes me proud every time other people praise them(me) for being responsible at their very young age.
