I think it took about a month since we finally resolved our problem with being hacked and when scripts were injected to our sites. Fortunately, this blog was with a different host and this was not infected in any way.

However, it has made me rethink on where to host our other sites, especially since our other domains need a joomla host as well.

Starting anew, it has long been overdue. Finally, my sister and her family have decided to start life on their own. Yes it may be a bit harder with 3 children, but still, I am happy that they are still willing to try living on their own (they are currently living with my mom and 2 of our other siblings).

One of the hardest things that they still have to prepare for is moving their things. I don’t think they’ll be able to manage it at one go so they have to plan on how to move their stuff from here in the city to their new home in the province.

I’ve advised them to try and get the things needed for packing ready like boxes, wraps and other packaging supplies. Being ready can help them minimize their costs since there are usually promos available for shipping nationwide during the summer season.

We’ll see how this goes, they still 2 more months so it’s still a long way to go. But as early as now, I wish them good luck. I will miss them, especially my nephew and my 2 nieces but I know it will be good for them in the long run.

So what’s common to almost all females during Summer? It’s that need to suddenly fit into those swim suits so they can show off their fab bodies at the beach. Yes, who doesn’t want to show off a fab body, right?

This is the time when almost everyone I know suddenly scours the internet for the latest on slimming, from gym equipments, wraps and even pills. Hitting the gym takes time and a lot of discipline. Wraps are costly and must be done multiple times. Pills are the most common solution for those who want to lose weight and fast, assuming of course an active lifestyle will be followed as well.

Because each person is different, not all pills work the same way and not all may be good for everyone. It is still best to do your research about which pills to take by reading reviews and the testimonials for a particular product such as on http://sideeffectsofdietpills.net/slimvox/. Another advice is once you’ve read about its content, results and other user testimonials, make sure to check with your doctor if it will work for you. It is best to always be prepared so any consequence can be minimal and treated properly.

Take a seat, make yourself a coffee (Tassimo coupons are around by the way in case you haven’t seen yet) and enjoy a brief history of the very thing you may be dunking in to your coffee!

In America, a cookie is described as a thin, sweet and usually small biscuit. They may be crisp or soft but are always be flour-based. Around the world, names for cookies vary massively, from biscotti or amaretti in Italy, to Keks or Plätzchen in Germany or Galletas in Spain. The name cookie is derived from the Dutch word Koekje, meaning “small or little cake.” Biscuit comes from the Latin word bis coctum, which means, “twice baked.” According to culinary historians, the first historic record of cookies was their use as test cakes. A small amount of cake batter was baked to test the oven temperature.

Persia is thought to be the home of the very first cookies at around 7A.D, perhaps because it was one of the first nations to cultivate sugar (today Persia is Iran), where initially, in 510BC hungry foot soldiers of the Emperor Darius discovered ‘reeds that produce honey without bees’, which were of course sugar cane and later became one of the main primary product constituents of trade in this part of the world throughout the Middle Ages.

The subsequent development of these sweet pastries resulted in a reputation for sugared, baked goods in the Persian Empire, and this history continued into the early 14th Century when sweet cookie-shaped wafers were now being sold on the Parisian streets in Europe. The development of street vending, and specifically the sale of these ‘European cookies’ saw an explosion in a variety of cookie recipes which featured heavily in Renaissance period cookbooks and served both the rich and poor in terms of the ingredients used and their respective levels of decadence. Do you think they had coupon codes to save money on them like we do today?! 1596 came and saw the appearance of a recipe for ‘short-cookies’ in an Elizabethan English recipe book for the upper classes, detailing the baking process and introducing these delectable snacks to the city of London and surrounding areas.

The next step for not just cookies but biscuits in general now had a far more practical angle, as they were termed ‘hardtack’ and used as portable food for travellers due to their long-lasting quality, meaning they would stay fresh for up to four days. This durability saw the creation of ‘ship biscuits’ which were kept, almost by legislation, on every major ship that left port in case food supplies ran out, with captains hoping that the long-lasting food sort would be enough to see the man to rescue or to shore.
By the late 15th Century, 1615-1671, cookies became known as ‘Jumbles’ and again a variety of recipes became available for practically all classes.

Fast-forwarding to the mid-1800s the Australian Army devised a recipe for their termed ‘Anzac biscuit’ which like those trialled in other military forces was long-lasting and sugar-packed for fast sustenance. Today they are known as Australia’s National biscuit and they even have a national ANZAC DAY’ in both Australia and New Zealand. If you want some tasty cookies today then Davids cookies coupon codes cannot be ignored!

On Italian soil, the world renowned ‘biscotti’ were created, meaning literally ‘twice cooked’ these biscuits were baked and then crisped and became incredibly popular both in Italy and across Europe, becoming somewhat a speciality.

The penultimate development for these biscuits was their transformation into ‘brownies’ whose name stems from their dark brown appearance once prepared and baked. Brownies are essentially chocolate bar cookies and although their true origins are unknown they are thought to have come into existence by accident, whereby a cook did not add the baking powder to their chocolate batter mix.

Today, the additional of baking powder and flour has given rise (no pun intended) to the modern day cookie. Much loved worldwide and with hundreds of thousands baked every day, they are surely one of the most popular biscuits around!

Ever since we attended an event about Homeschooling we’ve been inclined to introduce it to our little one. We’re starting off with Math since according to her Developmental Pediatrician, she’s very much advanced with Reading and Communication (First Grade level at the age of 2.5).

Aside from the usual addition subtraction, we will also incorporate money into our lessons. We’re looking at getting some coins and bills that we could use just for our learning. It would be great if we could get something personalized too so it can also be a keepsake of our homeschooling adventure. For now, we’ll be using whatever we find at home as well as printing out other materials from the internet.

We’ll let you know how it goes. Hopefully I can get a curriculum online that would aid us in this journey. But since math can be incorporated in almost anything, I’m crossing my fingers that this will be a breeze.
