Christmas Dinner 2010

This Christmas has been really simple for me. No scrumptious dinners with fancy holiday dinnerware, no expensive gifts or clothes. Christmas was spent at home with just me, my Bubby and little Sanjo. Christmas dinner consisted of chicken teriyaki and spaghetti with white sauce courtesy of yours truly. I’m not complaining, I know there are lots of people who are homeless and starving even on Christmas Eve. But I do have plans for next year, which I hope will work out for me and my family.

I plan on moving out of my in-laws’ house around July or August next year, so that we can have a place of our own. We are able to save on rent and all that while we’re living here, but it’s not entirely ours, and I would really want to have our own place so I can do stuff I can’t here.

I don’t know if you guys have “visions” of your plans or if you imagine how you’d like things to be, but I do. I still have to carefully lay out all my plans, but for starters, and for motivation and inspiration, I imagine what I want for next Christmas. It will still be simple, but with a little touch of Christmas spirit.

Speaking of Christmas spirit, I know it doesn’t have to be anything fancy or expensive. The right dinnerware definitely help set the mood for a little holiday spirit. I have seen a couple of really nice holiday-themed dinnerware and silver flatware that can go along with the whole set. Pflatzgraff is a site that has a lot of holiday dinner tabletop ideas and products. There’s so many to choose from, I think I want it to be Christmas the whole year round! Yelp!
