A Housewarming Gift

Knowing that someone close to me is looking for their own house, their own abode, really excites me. I guess it’s because I for one know how hard it is to save up for one, and to sacrifice a lot for owning your own home, that I really appreciate when other couples or families get their own homes too.

I decided to look this early for the perfect housewarming gift for them. I wanted something that might be overlooked but definitely says something about their new property, their new home. So I searched online for gifts for a new home and found these great Tin Wall Decor that they can hang on their fence or the posts/gates. It’s like a Welcome Plaque that can be customized to have their family name and year of move in.

I know they would just love those since it will definitey “mark” their newest accomplishment in life.

Finding a Data Entry Job

It’s been a couple of years since my sister left the workforce. Sometimes she think of going back to work since this year all three of her children will be going to school. She’s pretty sure the expenses are going to be way too much for her husband to handle.

One advice I gave her is to try and find a routine job, so she won’t get overwhelmed right away. One such job is Data Entry and a lot of them have vacancies here in our area. It wouldn’t bring her much stress to begin with because she will only have to encode data that went through document imaging from company overseas.

From then on, she can learn the ropes of how the company’s operations go and move up the corporate ladder. At least it would be easier since she has already familiarized herself with most of the processes.

Starting Anew

We welcome 2012 with open arms. We finally got hold of some extra money and though it’s the season to splurge and enjoy, we decided to prioritize some more pressing things.

We’ve managed to cross out a huge chunk off our debt list and only 1 or 2 remain, which I’m pretty sure we will be able to pay off before the first quarter of 2012 ends. It’s been a tough road but I’m happy that we’re almost debt-free.

Starting anew will definitely be in our hands soon, and I’m happy it came sooner than later because I love it that our child will grow up debt-free too.

7-11 Donates to the victims of Typhoon Sendong

With the recent tragedy that hit the Northern Mindanao, everyone wants to help in their own way. A lot of those I know (including my family) are now trying to come up with clothes and other form of donation to send to the victims. But helping the victims can also be done by supporting some of the big companies, like 7-11.

Last minute Christmas gifts

Barely 6 days to go until Christmas and I still haven’t completed my Christmas shopping yet. The ones for the adults are done but what I’m having a hard time with are those for my nephew and nieces. I kind of don’t want the conventional toys but I’m thinking of getting them a duncan yo yo since it’s been some time since they had one of those (they were very young then and didn’t really appreciate how the game was played). Hopefully I get to find some in the next few days and I’m also planning to buy a couple more just in case some of my lost “godchildren” suddenly make an appearance at home.
