Mommy Moments: My Dear Babies

I’m joining this week’s Mommy Journey once again! And this week’s theme is to write a love letter for our babies.

Dear Sab and Sanjo,

Both of you have brought me so much joy and happiness. And you both complete me. I could never love anyone as much as I love you babies, and no matter what happens, no matter how much time passes by..always keep in your hearts that mommy will always be here, and that I love you both so very much. Sab, it brings Mommy so much tears and pain that you’re not here with me, but in God’s time I know we will be together again. I love you so so much. Sanjo, you may be a real handful most days, but you give me more happiness than headaches..and for that, I love you very much. I can’t wait for us to be a whole family soon. I’m praying real hard, and I’m doing everything I can to make it happen.

Also, I would like you both to remember that you’re brother and sister, and that you should always respect and love each other. Always.

Here are photos posted by my cousin on Facebook. Recent pictures of my little Sab. She’s growing up so fast! It seems only yesterday that I was cuddling a little baby girl in my arms. And now she’s like a little lady. *sniff*

She loves making faces and hamming it up in front of the camera. *ahem* These are a few of those taken at home. Enjoy! Next post are pictures of her in costume for their school’s Chinese New Year program.

My Sanjo @ 17 months old

My baby Sanjo is now a 17-month-old toddler, and he is just a handful. Oh wait, saying that he’s a handful is an understatement. He’s just a bundle of happiness, and overflowing with energy ALL the time. He likes tinkering with the wires, plugs and whatever it is that has anything to do with electricity. Why he’s so attracted to them is beyond me.

At 17 months, he can say a few simple words such as “mama”, “papa”, “dada”, “mamam”, “no” and “yes”. He mostly nods to say yes, and shakes his head if he means no. Recently, he has started pointing at what he wants, although there are still times I can’t seem to get what exactly he’s pointing at. When he’s hungry, he points at his tummy or drags me to the fridge and he would signal for me to open it so he can grab his Honey Stars, Koko Krunch or his sippy cup filled with fruit juice. He can also follow simple commands such as “get your slippers/shoes”, “close the door” and “open the aircon”. The latter is his favorite. He wouldn’t even forget to close the aircon control’s latch after pressing the power button. He picks up real quick, and his memory is super sharp too. Well, at least compared to mine anyway. Ha ha! Next post, let’s tackle discipline once again. So if you parents have any suggestions on toddler discipline, please, let me know. We can probably do a guest post if any of you wants to volunteer. TIA!

What Sanjo and Sabyn have in common

Sanjo and Sabyn are opposites in almost every way — Sabyn is independent, she can watch TV for hours, doesn’t like stuffed toys very much, and she can play on her own. Sanjo, on the other hand, has quite a short attention span for watching TV. He doesn’t stay in front of the TV for long, I’m lucky if he stays for a full half hour. He likes playing with me and JC, and hates playing on his own. He loves stuffed toys and cuddles Elmo, Big Bird or BJ during bed time.

Despite all their differences, however, there is one thing that they both love in common. That is the love for picture books and hearing stories. Simple stories or nursery rhymes are what they love most. I don’t think they will appreciate weight loss stories at this point, but that’s an interesting topic me and JC would probably love to discuss. LOL.
